The Wild Trails of Colombia's Andean Jungles

If you are one of those cyclists who wants an epic adventure, remote roads, a chance to mix with the local culture, and a great ride with aggressive descents as well as demanding climbs and rides, this is the perfect mountain bike tour.

The setting for this tour is central Colombia in the “eje cafetero” (Coffee Axis). This region is located in the center of the country in the departments of Caldas, Quindío and Risaralda and is known as the epicenter of national coffee production.

These characteristics bring with them an unprecedented cultural, ecological, historical and even social wealth. For this reason, UNESCO proclaimed it an intangible heritage of humanity and named it the “Paisaje Cultural Cafetero (PCC)” (Coffee Cultural Landscape).

At Trail Hunters we have made a perfect mix of a good bike, the most exciting descents, and incredible landscapes. All of this is mixed with our coffee culture, our cuisine and the warmth of its people.

From the cold páramos near the Nevado del Ruíz at almost 4000 meters above sea level to the warm banks of the río Cauca, we will travel on horseback and by mule along trails, unpaved roads and rocky coffee plantations in the steep mountains of the Colombian coffee region. This mountain bike tour consists of three days of riding in Caldas and Quindío that combine technical, natural descents with the best cuisine, the best lodging in the region and the best cup of coffee.
