Located 11 kilometers from the urban area of Manizales, on the road to Magdalena, this space allows all its visitors to connect with nature, admire the landscape, and walk through the Bosque de Niebla (Cloud Forest), which acts as a protective sponge for water, soils and biodiversity.

*Wooden Pavilion*

It is the prototype of the Zeri Pavilion presented in the year 2000 at Expo Hanover (Germany).

It is a tribute to the typical architecture of the coffee-growing region and to natural resources.

Its main material is guadua, a shrub also known as natural steel.

Designed by the Manizales-born architect Simón Vélez, it is full of structural details that will leave you amazed and reach one of their highest expressions in the 360° balcony and in the roof.

Senda de Oriente

Cement blocks winding along the ground mark the path for walking through this place. The trees welcome you, and the silence, which at times lets itself be conquered by the song of the birds, in turn announces the large open space and the pure air you will be able to breathe. The typical Japanese bridge will take you to this ancient culture, and the bonsais and the Sakuras (cherry trees) will show you the wisdom of their expressions. The stones placed in perfect balance will teach you the importance of finding the right support. A space for admiration and introspection.

Bosque de Orquídeas

The Asociación Caldense de Orquideología gives life to this space. More than 12.000 plants are arranged on two preserved hectares to be a refuge for these colorful and diverse flowers.

The natural environment reveals in all its splendor the complexity and art found in every orchid. Flowers 1 centimeter wide with the perfect shape of an orchid, and those more than 20 centimeters wide, bloom in this enchanting forest.

In our Bosque de Orquídeas there are native species planted in a natural environment and not in pots. Orchids are the most evolved plants on the planet, since they have zygomorphic shapes that invite the insect to come closer so that the plant can be pollinated.

This is a very important conservation space, since we have planted and cared for all the native orchid species of our region, from the smallest to the most exuberant.

Our Bosque de Orquídeas has more than 12.000 plants distributed among 180 different species.

Mirador de las Aves

The fluttering of hummingbirds in their incredible flight will brush against your skin.

You will see their speed, their skill, their beauty right in front of you.

The iridescent feathers of several of them, their colors that sometimes create complete outfits, and the long tail that some have will surprise you.

The hummingbirds will also observe you; they will wait for you to be quiet so they feel safe, for your calm to show them that you await them with appreciation, and they will come to you to gather the dreams you want to set flying.

Birds pass through constantly, and during the day the hummingbirds are the joy of visitors. These small, charismatic birds win everyone's heart, and in this space visitors can appreciate them up close, enjoying their quick movements and great flying speed.

26 species of hummingbirds come to our bird viewpoint. In our park we have 219 species of birds, of which one is endemic: Odontophorus Iperitu or "Perdiz Colorada" (Red Partridge). We enjoy the constant visit of several species of hummingbirds that are endemic to the Americas and cannot be found on other continents such as Asia or Europe.

We also offer birdwatching tours at sunset; here you will experience a tour through the senses in which you will enjoy the sunset and nightfall as you walk through the forest and watch its transformation, as well as experience how the different species prepare to look for a place to rest and spend the night, as well as the nocturnal species that will come out to begin all their activity.

You will be able to spot mammals, insects, reptiles and birds and feel your senses awaken within a high Andean forest. On the Sunset Tour you will be able to do these activities accompanied by a specialized guide who will tell you about the magic of the forest elementals, and you will be able to see nocturnal birds, some astronomy and negative vision
